Cardiologist
Sarabjeet Singh, M.D. is a world-renowned and well-respected Interventional Cardiologist with more than 10 years in cardiovascular medicine. He is a board certified Interventional Cardiologist practicing at Central Cardiology Medical Clinic in Bakersfield, CA and an Adjunct Faculty at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills, CA. He specializes in providing high-quality invasive and non-invasive patient-centered care including heart catheterization, echocardiography, stress testing, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT and peripheral vascular testing. As the Research & CME Director at Bakersfield Heart Hospital, Dr. Singh is dedicated to ensuring quality patient care in a meticulous, cost-effective and personable manner. His subspecialty interests include diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, such as angina pectoris, coronary heart disease, atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, and several other disorders of the cardiovascular system. Dr. Singh is extremely passionate about rendering high-quality medical care coupled with best practices.
Dr. Singh is committed to promoting excellence and motivating positive change in creating value for patients. Most recently, Dr. Singh has become one of the first Cardiologist to introduce two innovative procedures to Kern County: Watchman LAAC (Left Atrial Appendage Closure) Implant, which reduces patients’ alternative long-term need for blood-thinning medication and reduce the risk of strokes in patients with atrial fibrillation; and TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) which is a minimally invasive procedure to close holes in the heart. Both procedures have greatly improved the quality of life in patients who otherwise would have had limited choices. Additional specialties include: Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO), Atrial Septal defect (ASD) and Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Repair.
His introduction to new technologies and techniques to his community has specifically helped medically and economically marginalized people, including those who are on fixed incomes, frail and are not able to tolerate traditional, invasive procedures. After treatments, patients’ experience improved cardiac function, restored vitality and improved quality of life. Many patients even experience a reduced reliance on certain types of medications. For those on fixed incomes, this is an improvement to healthcare, indeed!
Dr. Singh is steadfast towards evaluating new therapies and procedures for patient use, as well as to enrich the continuous professional development of practicing physicians. He is devoted to providing outstanding training, mentorship and fellowship supervision for young doctors in training. In pursuit of his passion to fight heart disease at the highest level as an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Singh still made time to cultivate his personal life. In 2005, Dr. Singh married Dr. Jasleen Duggal (Endocrinologist). Together, they moved from Los Angeles, CA and settled into beautiful Bakersfield, CA in 2011. He is the father of two lovely children and continues his mission to support community efforts against heart disease. He renders his full support enthusiastically and has partnered with many local organizations and non-profits in Kern County.
